Re: 7 stud, river gets dealt flipped up.
I believe that the correct thing to do is deal you another down card. The misdealt card is dead and out of the game. I don't think it is correct to give you the choice of taking it, as I have often seen in a home game. Obviously, you will only accept the card if it helps you and reject it if it doesn't, giving you an edge of the other players on that street. I see no reason to give a player, whose last card has been misdealt, that kind of advantage.

if this is a home game, and your friends aren't too anal about rules, then you can do what my friends & I do in this situation. we just have EVERY player show the 7th card. that way it's a 2 cards down / 5 cards up situation for everyone.

It was the first card out.
Just take the card back and reshuffle the deck? Wonder how long it will take before they understand it is their turn act and how much you can bet in a limit game |

It was the first card out. [/ QUOTE ] Everyone else's river card is also dealt face up. The first card stays where it was dealt, if it went to the proper player. Closest thing I found in a quick check of Robert's Rules: " If there are only two players remaining and the first player's final downcard is dealt faceup, the second player's final downcard will also be dealt faceup" |

A player whose last card is faceup has the option of declaring all-in (before betting action starts). |
