Don't forget folks; this is the cutting edge for poker news. Most players don't read 2+2 - and many don't even realise it exists.

News takes time to filter down to the majority, but it IS happening. 'Absolute poker scandal' now returns 300k hits on Google. The story has been on ABC, MSNBC, TheRegister, etc. and the stats show AP's numbers are dropping.

IMHO, Absolute Poker is indeed the Enron of online poker and nothing can save it. Put it this way: would you buy shares in them now?

There is a steady downward trend if you look at the three Saturdays.

This is important. If true, it shows a total disregard for other people's money. Lock these guys up.

An individual posting anonymously on the MajorWager.com posting forum claims that original shareholders in Absolute Poker are owed a total of USD 250,000,000 and that Scott Tom has "blown them off".

"Let's discuss exactly how Scott Tom and his cronies have treated shareholders. These are the people that risked their hard-earned savings to give Absolute Poker its start many years ago.

"Scott Tom and his cronies have totally blown off shareholders. While they are busy flying around the World spending thousands and thousands on luxury - shareholders have seen little more than a trickle.

"Today, Shareholders are totally ignored by Scott Tom and his Absolute Poker Management. Calls and emails are ignored. Shareholders have no access to Scott Tom. Behind a curtain setup by lawyers, Absolute Poker was sold to yet another shell company belonging to Scott Tom. This minimized any return shareholders can get."

I dont see how this is affecting thousands of people's retirements, and since its not publicly traded it is kind of a moot point.

15% is good. Also bear in mind that some of the people will have small rolls than they are just intending to see thru, once they bust if they are aware of the scandal they will look for somewhere else to redeposit. Also, in the general flow of things a poker site's traffic is made of some people who leave, others that join......if we can get the latter number down for the new few months their overall traffic is going to dwindle and dwindle and people will leave because there are no games...... keep the heat on!

[/ QUOTE ]
Peak of 2185 players today. Still down from a week ago, but not down huge.

Maybe AP's strategy of slow-rolling information will work to their disadvantage by keeping the whole mess in the news longer.

Scott Tom is currently in hiding and no doubt fearing for his life and the possibility that he could be taken into custody, which is essentially what the online poker community wants to see at this point. He has not made any statements.

There are also reports that the individual behind this cheating scandal has a serious coke habit.

They used the Scott Tom picture we dug up from the wedding. "Scott Tom is currently in hiding and no doubt fearing for his life and the possibility that he could be taken into custody" - here is a great big picture of him. Lol.

And AJ Green has a serious coke habit. Lol. Breaking news.

This has been posted before, although I *believe* it was never corroborated. This could be the reason for our sources inside AP

I haven't been to this web site in the link before the AP shenanigans. Do they really just rip off news items from poker forums and other news sources? Why do they even need an office?

1. Steal content and add in a a few typos for good measure
2. Bonus whore on every page of web site
3. ???
4. Profit

The same 'shareholders ripped off for $250m' claim is made in the comments of the Freakonomics blog. Poster calls himself Carlos.

Any news on the 'charity' $10k, Absolute? The silence is deafening on that one...
