Short Stacking

Are there any posters who play a short stack rolf style? At what point does your stack get so low that you rebuy to the minimum? Also, is there a reason that short stacking with a 30xBB buyin would be better than buying in for minimum 20xBB?

I have been playing with the short stack approach for a couple of weeks. My results have been mixed (overall +EV), but I'm not sure if this is earning more than full-stack. There are a lot of nuances to shortstacking that I think are interesting that Rolf didn't talk about in his book.

Rolf answered your question about the shortstack question on his site. Basically, the shorter you are, the better, but it doesn't make sense to go below 10BB. I usually rebuy to 20BB when I'm down to about 8BB.

I've got used to playing with pretty much any stack size above 10BBs. Less than that is rarely if ever worth it.
