First of all it doesn't say antes. So CO shouldn't be nearly as desperate, as he has a whole orbit to wait for a decent hand. You're getting a little worse than 2-1. T5 is 2-1 vs. top 50%. Also there are lots of cases late where as a big stack you want shorty alive. I just don't see a need to get messy here. That's how you wind up not being bigstack before you know it. Maybe I'm overthinking things.

I said fold on the T5 hand. Dunno. You are 2 to 1 dog vs. top 50%. Maybe he pushes more and you're good.

The tourney hands were supposedly taken from Harrington.

Yeah see, there's really so much more to it. You and CO should both have reads on each other by now. So if I'd been making these kinds of calls, I'd assume he expects to get called, and fold. If I'd been pretty nitty in defending my blind, I'd probably put him on closer to 100% and call.

gigablocking would be a lot more likely to lead to you wanting shorty alive so you could beat up the others. Shorty after you sucks becuase you can't bully so much. Shorty before you is fine, especially if we're into the pay ladder. But it doesn't say FT so I'm guessing no giant differences in payout at this point.

Also at 118k chips with 1/2 blinds it's most likely gigablock is very minimal here. It's all cEV.

Sam's Town donkament. $50+20r, 40 entrants, 10 remaining, pays five spots.

Hero is 2nd in chips with about 45k. BB busted Hero's steal (Q2o called by ATo) on the previous orbit and has about 30k. Most stacks are in the 15-20k range, with three under 10k.

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

blinds 3k/6k (lol donkaments)
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls all-in t4000, 6 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (t12k main, t4k side)
Hero bets t6k, BB raises to t17k, Hero ???

Read: As usual, everyone including BB hates Hero for (use Bennett Brower-style air quotes) "raising too much" and "stealing pots" and "refusing a 10-handed save where all but spots 1-3 only got their buy-in back." BB called Hero's open-shove from the SB last orbit with ATo after tanking for about 30 seconds, which is long in this game. Hero showed Q2o. SB had also shoved QTo from his SB into Hero's BB over several limpers earlier in the tournament. QTo>55>Hero's ATo.

Hero shoves, BB calls with 44. Turn 2, river 2, ship it.
