Oneida would count as a leveraged purchase as well since they give 50x and in some cases 100x margin.

I have always wonder how this type of purchase is possible. Shouldn't the market be reacting instantly to this kind of info and at least pushing the price towards the buy out price more efficiently? I guess my question is what are the constraints that limit the pricing moving towards its buy out value? transaction costs? opportunity cost? still slight risk of deal not working?

Am entering SIRI at $3.53 and XMSR at $14.70.

Tripled my position in XMSR so am averaged down to $13.70 per share. Doubled my position in SIRI and am averaged down to $3.39 per share.

Sold my UAWL puts for $2.50 each, total profit on this trade of +$282.00 Doesn't quite makeup for me exiting UA to early yeaterday when I was long but it gets back some of that mistake of having an itchy trigger finger.

I think I have become addicted to trading. Just bought some GS 250 puts, purchased three at $7.80 each for a roundtrip cost of @$7.96 each after commissions. Hope to see these double at least within 24 hours.

Because Goldman traded at a 52 week high today (over $250 per share) mainly on the rate cut and mutual funds setting up their positions for next quarter and the entire next fiscal year.

Once that money stops flowing in I see some profit taking occurring and GS will drop back to $240 or below quite quickly tomorrow. With any luck some bad news will surface somewhere and it will plummet even further.

EDITED BELOW

Thought I should add that these same options traded for as much as $35.90 each only nine days ago.
