50nl - Axs on a WA/SB flop
Villian is bad...B.A.D, bad. Playing 56/10/1.5. his range is actually quite wide for doing this. He has done it against me a few times and we have not seen a showdown yet.
Whats your plan for the hand? Whats the best line considering I could have him crushed, but I could also be behind a better ace alot? Re: 50nl - Axs on a WA/SB flop
I say Call....don't force out the crap, or the JJ-KK he's just doing this with and just control pot size a little instead of trying to make him fold A9.
If you hit a club or a 3 somewhere then obviously you raise either the turn or the river.....or maybe both if he plays them weird. |

Re: 50nl - Axs on a WA/SB flop
What's the point of raising his flop bet?
If he has something like JJ-KK raising might make him fold with an ace on the board. If he has an ace, we're behind every combination except A2, and he'll likely call given that he's bad. If he has a set he'll shove and then we're just gonna have crappy odds to call a flush draw. Why not just call? |

Re: 50nl - Axs on a WA/SB flop
Just call the flop. The only time we would raise is when we believe villain can fold AK/AQ. By your description this is happening never.

Re: 50nl - Axs on a WA/SB flop
I'm not keen on the PF raise but the call is easy against this guy.
Call the flop if you think he will pay you off if you hit. |

sorry - has to be reiterated - this should be folded pf as the standard play.

sorry - has to be reiterated - this should be folded pf as the standard play. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. It actually is my standard to fold this in MP and raise on CO, but I've been thinking of expanding my MP opening range to include more suited aces. I think raising this here can be fine if you know what you're doing. |

[/ QUOTE ] maybe you do, but i think the majority of uNL would probably be better off folding it. this post really put my mindset back into solid TAG play which should always be our foundation. |
