What exactly is running slow?
The datamining or the tablescanning?

What kind of database are you using?

[/ QUOTE ]

It seems as though it's both, but moreso the datamining. I'm using a single PostgreSQL database that is only about a month old, so it's not huge or anything.

Whenever I am datamining, and I try to click File ---> Options etc, it completely locks up for 10-15 seconds and then unfreezes for about 20 seconds and then freezes again. It's still working, mind you, but the consistent freezing is getting tiresome.

Is anyone else experiencing this and suggestions on what to do/how to fix this? Other than this, I love the program.

TIA.

Please try the following when datamining:
1) You should check "act as tableopener only" under "main"->"options"->"general".
2) Use FreePHG 2.09 (http://www.jukofyork.com/freephg.htm) to retrieve the handhistories.

If this combination works better than its the way that SpadeEye retrieves the handhistories that makes it freeze...

I'll check this out shortly when I get home. Thanks Mr Snood. I'll report back in the next couple of hours.

(x-post from your forum too)

Ok, now that I'm home now and playing around with it, I've confirmed that the datamining of FT is fine and works w/o incident.

The problem is when attempting to perform tablescans. Any time I try to click "Get Table List", "Scan this Table", or "Scan All Tables", SpadeEye locks up for upwards of 15-20 seconds and is unresponsive during this time. Eventually, it 'unfreezes' and works as it should, but the hanging is too often and for too long of periods.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 on a Q6600 w/ 4Gig of RAM. Running version 2.56 of SpadeEye. It should be noted that before I built this new rig over the weekend, it ran flawlessly on my AMD 3700+ w/ 2Gig of RAM on XP Pro.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I just updated from 2.55c to 2.56b. A minute ago with 2.55c the scan was very fast, now with 2.56b it has become annoyingly slow, even after scanning right after it finished a scan. Any ideas why this might be?

On a second note, I have two postgreSQL databases, built from same handhistories, one is a PokerTracker db, the other is Hold'em Manager db. The scans are like 2-3 times faster when using the HE Manager db. Or I should say they were, this was before updating to 2.56b. Now the scan is very slow with HE Manager db also.

Default SpadeEye Offscreen - please help!

Hi,
I had to switch out one of my video cards and now I am using 3 monitors, whereas before I was using 4. Now when I open SpadeEye it is off screen and I can't get it back on without maximizing it, which I don't want to do. The "move" choice doesn't work either, probably because it was maximized on the fourth monitor. I'd rather not reinstall it because all my settings will be lost. Is there an easy way to get it back to one of the 3 monitors?
Thanks.

Delete the files window*.conf from your SpadeEye directory.

For the scoring, is there a minimum number of hands requirement for players? If not, can you add that?

And also for scoring, can you add a separate river AF?
