Nothing about what I saw made me think there were sharks in the water, but it wasn't nearly the fish tank I expected based on what I read here. I guess that makes me the fish!

Moat fish hide in their caves on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
I'd definitely recommend coming back on a standard weekend.

I have to ask... Was sue a round older lady with white hair wearing a ton of tacky jewelry? If it is, I've felted her a ton of times in some home games in Pittsburgh. She's about the most annoying person alive at the table. Her and her husband wear matching outfits when they play.

you described Sue perfectly (jewelry, etc.). She was unbelievably annoying and in the few hands I saw her play, she overplayed TPTK.

Seeing her go on about the smoke issue was one of those things that any true telling of the story would sound like an exaggeration. I did get one funny in when she raised PF and I asked if I could raise her a pack of cigarettes.

Hahaha, oh god, I love taking her money. She played in a bunch of fire hall games around Pittsburgh, and typically went away loser. She's not a horrible player.

My best story is her sitting down and requesting MY seat at a 1/2NL game that was getting started, and saying she HAD to have seat 6 because she had a bad knee and it was the only seat that she could sit in without having tons of pain.

She's someone I take real pride and joy in taking money from. And you are right - if she hits top pair on the flop, and you are lucky enough to have two pair or a set, you are getting all of her money, because she is unable to get away from hands.

The thing is, she does OK in cash games because so many people want to bury her that they try to run her over.

Glad you had a good time and didn't lose too much. Next time, you'll win. We need to make a trip to Caesars!
