Default good c/r or fpsy?

4h party poker 5/10, effective stacks $1,174.

fishy annoying guy limps UTG, BTN folds, i complete SB with KQo (no im not raising this in this exact spot), BB checks (one of those weird lags who openlimp every pot and then play super aggro and bad postflop).

flop comes 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K:hearT:Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. i bet $30, BB calls.

turn is 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], i check, BB bets $75, i raise to $240.

river is K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. merit to a checkraise?

Based on your description, I like a C/R here.

wrote out a couple responses and deleted them. pot is $500 and you have $750 right? there is obviously merit to a c/r, but him checking behind Kx is a really bad outcome for you. i think i would take a little time and open shove river.

edit: im a moron, c/r is obviously fine given description. but vs the majority of players, i think checking the river is bad.

i like a c/r a lot here, though the remaining stack size is a deciding factor. if he's got about a psb or left, i shove, if he's got more than 2 psb's its a great c/r... but the middle ground could kinda go either way. sometimes i'll make a fake blocking bet in that range, so that he can bluffraise me with nonsense hands like JT, valueraise a worse hand like a frush, or even make a call with some of his crappier showdownable hands like a stubborn Qx

why is it called fake blocker? I never got that, bet half pot to get valueraised incorrectly, also to get thinner calls, maybe even induce a bluffraise here or there.

it's a fake one because OP has the nuts, not a marginal hand, and people like to sometimes bluff-raise blocking bets because when you make a blocking bet you are supposed to fold to a raise
