Default overpair, check-raised, raggedy-ass flop

live game. this is a kill pot (half-kill). generally speaking, kill pots make people tighten up a bit (remember this is West Coast-style kill, which is triggered by someone winning two consecutive pots.) the kill doesn't seem to change the action a whole lot at this particular table.

Hero is Button and Kill poster and has J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

some guy limps, some quiet fat guy limps, old dude in BB completes. hero acts last and RAISES. everyone calls.

* FLOP * 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8 SB)

checks to hero, HERO BETS, two limpers call, QUIET FAT GUY RAISES, hero...?

If you call and the 2 limpers call, do you think they will call down to the river with you?

it's hard to say. the old dude seems like a regular old dude, so he's probably pretty weak and passive. i can't remember who the other limper was specifically; just some non-obtrusive bad live player.

i think you have the implied odds. what if one of the other guy is slowplaying his 8 and wakes up when you hit your J. also if he has 33 you have another 2 outs and he might just give up on a turn 8.

I would trey ball, but I'm not a good live player.

Folding is bad, don't people limp TT/99 in live games?

I'd call down. I've seen quiet fat guys do this with less than 8x.
