Re: terrible floor decision at hooters breaks game
[ QUOTE ]
Very few rooms and even fewer floor staff have the players in mind when games become short. I have noticed a bad down turn in what customers want and need the past week. My decision to follow the two poker tours and get out of dodge is showing to be the right idea [/ QUOTE ] I was playing a NL game Saturday. There are about 5 tables of my game in the mid-afternoon, all of them with open seats, but my game is 6 handed. Floor walks up and counts the number of seats available at the other tables and the number of players at my table. He then orders my game closed even though no one was complaining about the short game. |

Re: terrible floor decision at hooters breaks game
Floor should wait for the players to get antsy and ask for the tables to be combined. If I'm at a great NL table with 4 ATMs, myself, and one real player, I don't want the floor coming up saying "I'm closing this table" just 'cause one of his dealers wants an EO. And there's no way closing a table is a good thing for the room--everytime you close a table you lose about half the players. I have been at a table when the floor comes and says "I have seats for everyone if you want to move", which I'm not REAL fond of since it can put bad ideas in people's heads, but when the players say "no thanks" a good floor leaves well enough alone.
