Default Brutal downswing......

I am in the middle of a downswing that has just left me in a daze. I feel like I've been beaten around the head with a baseball bat. I've run bad before but nothing like this. In 2 days I am down 140 BB and it shows no signs of letting up. I have never had such a putrid run of cards in my life. The beats I am taking just defy belief.

How can you flop 8 sets in a day and lose every single pot? How can you lose a $200+ pot to 3d3c when you hold AdKd and the board is 9d7d4d making you over a 97% favorite to win the hand? (Turn 4, river 3). How can pocket queens lose to Q5s twice in 10 hands? Is it even possible to lose $800 in a single session of 5/10 shorthanded limit? (Yes).

I am just reeling and I don't know what to do. I'm really considering just withdrawing my bankroll and taking the missus on a cruise around the South Pacific and quitting poker all together. I'm starting to wonder how I ever won at all. I'm playing tight and aggressive poker and I am getting crushed.

I don't know what to do. The money doesn't worry me but the things that are happening to me just don't seem real. I can almost predict what is going to happen before the hand is played out. Most of the time I will lose to either a 1 card straight (say KK v 93 on a 256 board and he hits a 4) or a runner runner flush.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do or how to cope? I can't take much more of this.

Put your opponents to decisions for all of their chips.

140BB, LOL

Also, it's not a downswing until you make it back.
