The plethora of poker books on the market, combined with the unlawful internet gambling blah blah have more or less killed games like this at the micros that SSH talks about. I've not really seen anything like it since hitting up the 2/4$ tables at the B&M either within the last year.

i got a question about folding to much on the river.

when you play micros and you have people calling you down all the way to the turn isnt it best to c/f the river because they have something to stay in the hand that long. and if you do have a hand and get called to the turn and you still lead the turn get called, lead the river and get raised you have to release your hand unless you have the nut strait or flush.

or am i totaly wrong? my SD% is only 8.5 and my W%SD is 60%. everytime i call a big pot with two pair i loose to a strait, i call a 2nd strait and loose to the nuts.

whats the point in calling more rivers when bad players dont raise their made boat on the flop and i keep betting my pocket pairs UI?

I can certainly tell the difference at Party from when I played .5/1 in 2004-05 to the games today. I'm moving to FTP ASAP.

Riley, your question is way too general to get a proper response.

You need to start posting a few hands here, and responding to other players posts to help yourself to get a feel for what is best to do in given situations.

Also try reading some of the posts in the Micro Limit Library. There is a lot of good information in there too.

I think one of the most important factors here is that 0.5/1$ was Party's lowest limit at that time. Bad players couldn't move down to nano limits, they were simply "forced" to play there. IIRC Party introduced nano limits only in October or November 2006, a few months after I started playing.
