Default Speeding ticket

My finace got a speeding ticket in washington state. In the "defendant's signature" aknowledging that she "got the ticket but not admitting guilt" the cop never made her sign it....is this enough to get her off?

Can she just ignore it and then say...hey I never signed getting it?

There's got to be a better legal forum somewhere online where you can post about your personal problems...

because it's a totally different issue (pacing was the issue in the first, failure to sign is this issue)....if you don't like my posts, don't read them.

Man it is a speeding ticket not a multimillion dollar law suit. Just pay it. Your fiance was probably speeding anyway.

Talk about getting worked up and spending a lot of time on what, $150!?

You're forgetting insurance points.

I don't know if this is of any help, OP, but I recommend the book "Beat Your Ticket: Go to Court & Win": http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1413303...8093511?ie=UTF8 if you do decide to take this ticket to court.

In the state where I live, there is a line where the defendant is supposed to sign the ticket, but if there is no legal requirement to sign the ticket. It won't go away just because she didn't sign it. In fact, if she just "ignores it," there is a good chance her license will be suspended. That is much worse than a simple speeding ticket.

You might want to try contacting the prosecutor's office. They might be willing to give you some sort of diversion agreement where she pays some money and the conviction won't go on her record.

Rika,

Pay the ticket and play poker for like an extra 20 minutes one night to pay it off.
