Default how to learn SH LO8?

Hello all

I'm a stud player myself (both /8 and high-only), but I like to play a little LO8 from time to time. At the low limits where we recreational players make our home, FR LO8 is a little dull, because you just play ABC poker and slowly but surely win. Creativity is not an asset. I was thinking that SH might be more fun and allowing for more weird moves, which is what makes poker fun - for me at least.

The problem is this: How do you go about learning SH play? There're two pages in Tenner & Krieger and scattered remarks in Zee (and they contradict each other). And perhaps a page in SS2. I forget. So, do you just do the learning-by-doing thing and read this forum and post now and then? Or is there a way to speed up the learning process? Apart from starting hands requirements changing and aggression picking up, what primarily distinguishes SH from FR? All kinds of input are deeply appreciated.

Cheers,

Smurf

How much experience do you have in on-line full-ring O8?

I think, shorthanded play requires much more experience and skill than full-ring. I'd suggest to play (at least) ten thousand hands in full-ring games before trying shorthanded tables. That might be dull but necessary.
