New Party Sit n Gos suck.

Am I the only one that does not like the new stud/8 (sit n gos as well as other sit n gos)structure. I feel that it is too manys chips to start with. Anyone else agree or care?

I agree. Why would someone dislike having more chips? Do the SnGs take a lot longer as a result? I would think a skilled player would prefer more chips as it decreases the luck factor by being able to play more hands as the blinds increase, making it less of a crap shoot.

The increased number of starting chips isn't the bad part of the new structure. What's bad is the time limit per level. Before, you had 10 hands per level, and now you have 5 minutes per level. The stallers can now make the early levels almost meaningless, by limiting the number of hands that are played, and thus turn the middle levels into a basic crapshoot of who gets the cards. Playing the middle rounds with a full table of 8 is a lot more difficult than doing it with the 4 or 5 that used to be left after round 3 (or round 4 at the latest).

More chips plus the small time allotments allow bad players to hang around too long. I agree, it becomes a crapshoot in the middle levels.
