LOL, you are gone too soon. You do not get a vote on the final tribal council.

Apologies all.

Confirming that HerbieGRD has lost the runoff challenge, and is now removed from the island.

Herbie, you may make a final parting post.

Next challenge will be up soon.

*****FINAL FAREWELL POST*****

So this is it - my first and last day on POG survivor island. I enjoyed it as much as one can enjoy being beaten, tossed aside and left for dead by both his enemies and supposed allies. My vengeance on DMK was swift and brutal but for Luckay revenge will be a dish best served cold. Good luck, have fun, and most importantly may God have mercy on your souls.

Peace!

This Immunity Challenge will face each time off the other in various card games on Yahoo!. If you need help getting set-up, let me know. If you've never played a card game on Yahoo before, it would be a good idea to test it out a bit before getting to the challenge, to make sure you understand the interface.

THE CHALLENGE

The tribes will face off in five different card games:

CRIBBAGE
GIN
EUCHRE - 2 PLAYERS NECESSARY
SPADES - 2 PLAYERS NECESSARY
HEARTS - 2 PLAYERS NECESSARY

The tribe that wins 3-out-of-5 will win Immunity. If a Tribe SWEEPS the game, it will win a Reward.

You'll notice that this requires EIGHT players; therefore, The 1997 Cleveland Indians Tribe will need one player to play in two games; Wilson Tribe will need two players to play twice, or one player to pull triple-duty. However, NO PLAYER IS ALLOWED TO SIT OUT FROM THIS CHALLENGE.

Some players may not be familiar with any of these games. I suggest they play Euchre, Gin, or Cribbage in that order (as I feel those are easier to pick up than Hearts or Spades).

The first step of this challenge is choosing who will play each game for your tribe. I STRONGLY suggest you come to some sort of consensus by tomorrow afternoon, so get to work on this tonight. Once a lineup has been determined, a member of the tribe should PM it to me. A majority of the tribe must also confirm that lineup via PM.

Once both tribes have produced lineups, it will be up to opponents to schedule games, preferably over the weekend. You may use IM/PMs to schedule with your opponents, but ONLY for that purpose -- no cross-tribe alliance-making or strategizing, JUST scheduling. Once a date and time for the match has been agreed on, please post in-thread and confirm.

There is no hard date/time for this to conclude, but assume that games should be finished by the end of MONDAY. If it does not look like that is going to happen, expect a hard date/time to be set as Monday approaches.

SPECIFICS TO THE MATCHES

Gin - best 3-of-5, go to 100. Regular, not Oklahoma.

Euchre - best 3-of-5. Screw the Dealer.

Cribbage - best 3-of-5. 2 players, games go to 121 points.

Spades - best 2-of-3. Standard rules.

Hearts - best 2-of-3. Partnership Hearts scoring means that players should make sure to pay attention to the scores of ALL FOUR players -- read the Partnership Hearts scoring below:

[ QUOTE ]
Each player keeps an individual score, and in order to "shoot the moon", an individual player has to win all the penalty cards. The game continues until an individual player's score reaches 100 or more; then the scores of the partners are totalled and the partnership with fewer points wins. Thus it is possible for your team to win even if it is you who go over 100. For example you have 105, your partner has 34, and your opponents have 78 and 69, then your team wins by 139 points to 147.

[/ QUOTE ]

---

I will try to watch all games, but obviously we're working on the honor system -- both players/teams report back the results.
