Default Whats the lightest you call here? (From the Amsterdam Masters Classic)

Villain is a ~35 year old from Switzerland, plays pretty close to any 2 suited, is chipleader, with 75k or so, avg is about 18k, blinds are 150/300/25.

Hero is about 28k deep.

Preflop, UTG+1 limps, hero raises to 950, button calls, BB(villain calls).

Flop: 8c4s3s, checked to hero who bets 3300, villain calls.

Turn: 7c, check, hero bets 6400, villain calls.

River: Jh, and villain quickly bets out 15k, hero has like 17k or so, but is pretty sure the villain tried betting enough to put him in, not to leave a few bets.

Villain has overbet a few times, and people keep talking about how hard he is cardracking, he often says "how many hands have I shown down" and stuff like that, I'm relatively new to the table, but he seems pretty maniacal.

I call if i can beat a J. But then again i just dont like folding.

Edit One other hand that makes sense is like floped straight with a flush draw.

'Plays close to any 2 suited', so kinda loose/passive somewhat spewy with calls sorta thing?

Obv i'm really confused by villains line. Vs a proper player or even normalish player we are dropping any one pair hand.

Given this line there shouldn't really be a two pair type hand in our range. So i guess we're kinda stuck calling with sets, or trying to look into villains soul with QQ+.

It's live poker so a ton of whether i do station those over pairs comes down to how guy was playing. If i had no information, i likely drop them all since live players don't make big bluffs like this.

how has he been playing post flop? loose and passive like he has been pre? or aggro and making some weird bluffs from time to time? can you fairly surely discount jx from his range?

gross spot. i pretty much agree with all of what bond said and so i think you can fold an overpair here, which is what i assume you have.

normally, if I can beat 43 (more likely if I can beat 87). but it's live and there's a higher than usual chance he whiffed on an FD, so I don't mind a soul read call with less/air if you stare into his eyes or something.

Unless hero is semi-bluffing, does anyone slow down on the turn here?

I hate betting just to protect a hand, especially against someone who has enough chips to put a move on me. It's usually obvious that I am protecting, and a large bet when a scare cards comes almost forces me to fold.

If we check that turn with QQ+, we are almost sure to get one more bet from villain.
