A Very Special YTMND
Animal Crossing
Even more moving if you've played the game before. If you haven't, then it's sorta like the sims with cartoon animals. |

Re: A Very Special YTMND
Pretty sad story, but I think it's even more sad that she spent so much time on the computer and not with her family...

Re: A Very Special YTMND
I kept expecting that a YTMND site was more likely a joke than serious (waiting for the NEDM). But it wasn't - just a short, touching story.
Then from the responses here: [ QUOTE ] Pretty sad story, but I think it's even more sad that she spent so much time on the computer and not with her family... [/ QUOTE ] So, not a YTMND gag, but unfortunately, 2p2's ability to always turn something around and find fault is intact. C'mon, man. This was clearly the mother's entertainment, but she was very much about her family. A year later the survivors got a poignant reminder of that. It's fine to keep a deconstructive eye out, but it seems unwarranted here. |

Re: A Very Special YTMND
Goddamnit. That ruined my day.
EDIT: Now that I think about it I think there is a good chance it isn't true but it is still heart wrenching regardless. |
