Hypothetical: if at the end of the year, Florida and LSU are both one loss teams (to each other), and there are no undefeated teams, they might deserve to face each other a third time in the NC game.

[/ QUOTE ]

If that happens I will quit watching college football until playoffs are instituted.

My prediction: LSU beats Florida twice, Bama (with a single loss to LSU) gets the at-large BCS bid.

[/ QUOTE ]

I hope this happens so bad, I can't think of anything that would spur the call for playoffs faster.

we are seeing a preview of the SEC championship game when the Gators come to Baton Rouge.

Which is a shame. Just because you play in the SEC, you get penalized wrt Nat'l title considerations.

[/ QUOTE ]

just like last year with the Big 10, when the two best teams in the country were obviously Ohio State and Michigan.

[/ QUOTE ]

Right up until the point that Florida handed Ohio State's ass to 'em on a platter..than it become pretty apparent that the best two teams in the country were probably Florida and USC. Nice troll though...

The equivalent of College Football in the NFL would be New England, Indy, Chicago and San Diego all being in the same division. I used to be a big 10 homer but I have changed my mind. The SEC is simply head and shoulders above everyone except USC.

That comparison is terrible.

You confuse "team" with "talent" too much.

Speaking as an LSU guy (obviously), I concede that Florida was the better team last year. But I do think we were better than USC, tOSU, and anyone else. We should have been #2 at the end of last year.

Is this a joke, or someone posting through a time warp from the morning of the championship game?

LSU could of lost a couple of extra games last year just like UF could have. Both lost to Auburn due to questionable calls/shaky play. UF beats LSU so obviously LSU was the best team in the nation last year.

We might as well just define the best "team" as the most future 1st rounders, 5 start recruits, etc.
