I don't like this because I think he can be value betting a 7,8 or K here and the only thing that he could be bluffing with is a T9 draw hand, but I'm not sure he'd even do that often enough, or play it this way calling the flop and paired turn.

I don't 3 bet often, so I tend to CB more. With a flop like this, I'd still CB, and then I wouldn't put anymore money in without hitting a J.

Hey fees, can you please explain why you would never bet the flop? I think you do bet the flop and then shut down to a call or raise. Is it because there are 3 guys in the hand? just wondering.

Sure, betting the flop can make the hand play easier, but what kind of value can you pick up with a bet? You think TT calls? AQ? OK, maybe somebody got there with T9s... bleh.

I don't really mind folding out a hand like AQ that can either catch up with us or bluff us off the best hand.

If I do check the Flop, I check the Turn as well. If it checks through, I likely bet the River something callable by TT (et al) but not so little it gets bluff-raised with air.

edit: As played here, I fold. We don't beat anything but a complete bluff and I doubt he called the Turn just so he could bluff the River.

I don't see much value in cbetting here and it might be -EV since AK is definitely a big part of their 3bet calling ranges. After you get called on the turn you have to check/fold the river.

Also, I don't think checking this flop after you 3bet, especially 3way, puts you in a good spot to bet the turn. QQ will likely call with position, because unless you are a tricky tard in 3way 3bet pots with TPTK, and fortunately you aren't, you are usually betting here unless you flopped top set.

If you had position then cbetting can be alright at times.
