heres what i dont understand about mich off. the ran the no huddle for a short stretch and had success. then they didnt go back to it at all. why?

look at osu track record vs no huddle or spread. florida torched them. ill torched them. hell bgsu torched them a few years ago.

i see this in tons of football games from college to pros. coaches find something effective and seem to deliberately go away from it.

I know what you're talking about. I think coaches put too much emphasis on metagame.

The bad news (for you) is the Les Miles era might be beginning.

hell even osu did it. they came out running the ball very well and had 3rd and 4 from mich 35. why not run it twice? instead they pass incomplete and punt. the next few possessions are stunted by passing attempts that result in incompletions or slips and fall.

same thing happened beginning of 2nd half. 3rd and 5 from mich 40 or so and they pass and punt.

now you can look at the stats and see how successful osu was running the ball. but it goes beyond that if you were watchinng the game, it was clear osu oline was winning the battle and making big holes and beanie is a beast.

luckily, for the most part, tressel was willing to go smashmouth but both of those missed opps could have been crucial if the game was closer.

It probably doesn't get any worse than this. Even if Les is the biggest luckbox donkey moron -- and I concede he very well may be -- it probably can't be much worse than this. We'll finish unranked for the 2nd time in 3 years, we lost to a I-AA team, we're headed to the Champs Sports Bowl, we're 1-6 against Tressel, and it's clear the program is way behind OSU. So yeah, I mean, I guess Les could really bottom us ala Notre Dame, but I really don't think this is "bad news". It can't get much worse.

How wild would it be if LSU and OSU meet in the national title and LSU does a repeat of last year's game but when up 38-0 at halftime Miles accepts the Michigan job?

Awesome. Congrats Buckeyes. Bye bye Lloyd, I've enjoyed watching you get owned in this game the last few years.

Let me start this response with the fact I have not read a single response in this thread.

It is almost laughable that Lloyd Carr went out of his way in the press conference to state Michigan lost the game and were not beat. Injuries, inefficiencies and mistakes were the reason why the lost the game. There was not a single mention of the fact that Ohio State dominated Michigan's offense and had the better coaches, players and plays. That type of ego and degenerate outlook is what I look for in an Michigan coach and I sincerely hope that his delusion make him think that the he can compete with Jim Tressel.

Please Lloyd one more year
