The proper structure and alotted time
Tourney style that draws 'bout 14-18 players. The game usually last 4 to 4.5 hours. Some players say the game moves too fast; others say the game takes too long. How long does other home games last?

Re: The proper structure and alotted time
Well, we always have a 12-16 game on mondays, and it starts at 8pm. Ending is a little after midnight, max 1.30am or so, so I don't really see a problem with the time. No-one's complainging either.

[/ QUOTE ] This seems fast to me. I just played in a 10 player SnG last night. We had 300 starting chips with 1/2 starting blinds and 20 minite levels. It went 5 hours and the two heads up people made a deal. I would think an 18 player MTT would last 6-7 hours. You have a problem if some think it lasts too long at 4-4.5 hours. That's way too fast for most decent players. |
