Default Party timer is giving me like 5 seconds to act (connection issue?)

There seems to be some sort of weird delay when I play on a table. The timer will sometimes start counting at 12 seconds, sometimes at 5 or even 1 second leaving me no time to act. It does this for every player on every table so it seems like it may be some weird internet connection issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot it? I've rebooted my pc but that didn't help.

Thanks.

I'm getting this too!

Have been for about 3 weeks, it has been the same on all versions of their software (normal, the beta, and now the upgrade).

It just seems to work fine for a while then will suddenly give me like 12 seconds to act, then 6, then 1, then 0 and just sits me out every time.

I think Party Poker might just hate us, have no problems on any other sites.

I can't be bothered to email Party and get some "not our fault" BS so I've just stopped playing there. Glad someone else has been getting this too though!

Clear your browser cache and cookies: that'll fix everything. At least, that's their answer for the disappearing buttons bug, according to another thread.

Didn't work for me. I had the buttons thing last week and clearing out my cache didn't work for that either.

Ok. I'm still having this [censored] problem a week later.

I've tried everything I know: clear cache, history, temp folder, etc. I did a hard drive scan, defragged, virus scan, adware scan. All windows and spyware, virusware upgrades are up to date.

I am running out of options here guys and REALLY REALLY need your help.

Someone please throw something out there, anything. How can I check to see if my internet connection is laggy? How can I check to see if I don't have enough memory, drive space, whatever for the new party software to run (I have read it's pretty memory intensive).

Btw, this issue is with my home pc. Since it started I have been forced to play on my notebook. When using the notebook, if I wirelessly connect to my home pc then the same thing happens...connection dropouts like mad but not the timer issue. If I switch my wireless to verizon wireless then there's no problem.

HEEELLLLPPP MEEEE!!!!

Thank you!

I have the exact same porblem, internet connection freezes up when I'm playing at partypoker but is great at all other times. I have this problem at both my laptop and my Desktop. Does anyone know anything about this problem?

I'm getting desperate for help.

FWIW yesterday I did a bunch of things and then tried this:

I uninstalled party from my pc and deleted the party directory folders. I then unplugged the power from my wireless router and also unplugged the power from my cable modem. I then shut my pc down and left it off for like an hour or so. After I booted back up I plugged the power for the router and modem back in. I then downloaded party again.

This worked great...no timeouts and everything worked perfectly for 4 hours last night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

Try this and let me know if it works.
