Default Is UF playing its way out of a #1 seed?

Struggled as of late, and combination of playing badly/UT shooting the lights out tonight.

Probably still one of the best 4 teams, but would the selection committee punish them for cruising once the SEC was wrapped up? Will winning/losing SEC tourney be the deciding factor?

**All predicated on not pulling a massive comeback tonight.

Obviously yes. Need a win vs UK & an SECT win to get one back probably. I'm just hoping we can show up for any game the rest of the season. Noah & Green are just totally lost.

Are two Big Ten teams really going to get 1 seeds?
I'm thinking Wisconsin can easily end up with a two seed, especially if they lose to OSU or anyone else in the conference tourney.
Kansas almost has to have played themselves into a 1 seed now.

Does Memphis have an outside shot at one now?
Maybe even UNC?

OSU, UCLA, KU get them if they take care of business.
A&M perhaps with a chance if they take the conf-tourn.

Florida is botching their chance big time.

Memphis is going to beat some nobodies on their home-floor by about 30 points each throughout their conf tourney and that may actually leave an impression on the committee.

Well, we've played like who we are for maybe 10 minutes & we're within 10. If there was ever a moral victory, it's this. Win over UK & a SECT championship, then we'd probably reel in a #1.

I don't think either team deserves a #1. The Big 10 is a joke. Granted, one of the 2 teams will most likely win out and win the conference tourney, and then be deserving of a 1 seed.

I would say it's theirs to lose.

God forbid the best team in the country gets a #1 seed. Voters/pollsters are [censored] retarded. And LOL at someone earlier in this thread crying ACC bias when UNC is ranked 8th(8th!!!)

If Memphis struggles in any of their conference tourney games I think that perhaps opens the door for UNC to have an impressive enough showing in the ACC tourney to move into 1 seed contention.

I kind of agree that the Big 10 is overrated.
Will probably show in how I bet the games come crunch-time.

If 2 team Big 10 teams get #1's that would be pretty embarassing I think.

I really think that Memphis has an outside shot at this if they steamroll their opponents in the conf-tourn like everyone knows they are capable of doing.

Longest win-streak in the country and absolutely battering their opponents is pretty impressive no matter how crappy their league is.
Their luck-box win at Gonzaga might not have helped them enough though.

There is 0 chance that Memphis gets a #1 seed. I'm willing to bet the farm that they don't. They have beaten 1 "good" team all year in Kentucky who isn't that good at home. They got embarrased at Tennessee, didn't play well at Arizona. If they give Memphis (I live in Memphis) a #1 seed, it's a joke.

UNC is #1 or atleast top 3 in just about every computer ranking and RPI. UNC is a #1 right now.

Right now I'd bet these are the way the 4 #1 seeds go barring total collapses.

tOSU
UCLA
Winner of Big 12-Likely Kansas
UNC

UNC is probally not the last #1 seed either. If UNC loses a couple of more games, then yes they'll will play themselves out of a #1 seed. GT will be tough, Duke won't be easy either.

Upon further reflection, I agree with you.

I'm seeing those 4 as well.

But OSU, UNC and KU are all not guaranteed to win their conf tourneys to be sure.
and even WSU can give UCLA a run as well.

FLA has looked lousier and lousier. I don't know how far they're going to dip in the computer ratings. But those losses down the stretch to Vandy and Tenn do not help them.

Memphis would need a lot of help to get into 1 seed contention AND would need to take care of business really convincingly on their home-floor.
but it could definitely happen.

Not too impossible for 2 of your top 4 teams to fail to take care of business in their conf-tourn.
