I really think splitting them will also create a better environment of advice, since the lower limits will be helping each other out instead of everyone that plays NL50-200 giving advice like "well because this is NL5, its only $5 and everyone sucks I would push".

Mr. Donktastik said something similar in a post the other day.

"It's $10......arrrrr in!!!1"

there's truth here. I've no idea how nl5 and nl10 really play, so to advise on hands at these levels I fall back on poker knowledge rather than experience. This is at best suboptimal, at worst bad advice.

poker game + poker knowledge - poker experience == degraded advice

I don't think this is indicative of the type of response most higher stakers give to the micro players. Their well-seasoned advice is really beneficial to those of us who lack more experience.

I vote no again.

Yeah, the idea has always been a uNL/ssNL split.

Mid and high stakes players are supposed to be posting in the medium and high stakes forums whether they are 6max or full IIRC.

Since we opened FR, our traffic has been somewhere between 10th-15th in all of the 2+2 Subforums. We're on pace for 10th this month and probably will have our highest post total to date. I'm of the belief that increased traffic is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Seems to me we haven't reached the threshold for a split, but eventually I believe it is appropriate.

How many FR vs 6-max players in the poker world isn't entirely relevant b/c we are about posters, not players. I think that we lost FR posters to other poker sites for a while b/c we did not have a dedicated FR forum. 2+2 is opposite of how most are set-up, ie we seemed to focus on short-handed play and our forums are named as in that manner (ie they arent specifically identified b/c they were the norm).

That's kind of getting of track though.

I'd think any split would be NL$100 and up--and that it would get a fair bit of traffic. Still, I'd prefer to see us have more traffic so we don't breakup momentum of growth.
