Re: ***OFFICIAL NBA 2007-2008 OPENING DAY THREAD****
[ QUOTE ]
These are the two months of the year when I really have to make a conscious effort to not let sports-watching take over my life, between NBA and NFL watching. Once the NFL regular season is over, I'll be fine. Watching Blazers-Spurs and then forcing myself to do work for the rest of the night. [/ QUOTE ] This game seems boring, bad matchup, too bad, I know it was the Oden showcase, that would have been cool. Oh, some new faces on Blazers, oh yeah, I forgot. Okay, might be interesting. |

It's not a great game but I try to watch the obscure teams whenever they're on national TV. I don't want to see Boston, San Antonio and Dallas 20 times and still have there be young guys on bad teams whom I've never seen play.

Bruce Bowen at 36 and he's shutting down Roy. Houston vs Lakers should be cool, see that new power forward for Rockets, and more Kobe drama.

Re: ***OFFICIAL NBA 2007-2008 OPENING DAY THREAD****
Things noticed in the first half:
1. Parker picking right up where he left off in the Finals. 2. Elson looking great, very aggressive. I expect to see a lot of improvement from him this year and think he'll be taking minutes away from Oberto. 3. Darius Washington >>> Beno (and Jacque Vaughn) 4. No minutes for Udoka? |

[/ QUOTE ] Good points. Any thoughts on Portland? I was pretty suprised, I think they could be a decent team in a couple of years. They run the ball well, can score, and have done pretty well with responding to two or three SA runs. Especially at the end of both of the first two quarters |

Martell Webster is gonna have a big year. I predict he'll win the most improved player award.
