Wow I remember reading that this took place on the 3rd floor parking garage and I thought that I just missed it because I was parked on the 4th floor, and I left right at the time this happened.

But now seeing this, those are the parking garage elevators, I really just missed it cause I was in that lobby and used those elevators.

She was running towards the elevator next to him, trying to get in before the doors closed. And how do you know she didn't know the gunman and realized he wasn't a threat to her personally?
Not that any of this matters but I think its pretty retarded to compare her with the gunman. Have you ever been near a shooting? How do we know your reaction would be any smarter?
