Default Winning whilst not playing

Last night I went to a home game 3 hours before my night shift I paid my $20 and played through the rebuy with no need to add on but time caught up with me and I had to go to work. BEAT.

I still had chips left and so a friend who had been knocked out agreed to play on for me and to split the winnings 50/50. BRAG he came second for $120! He stopped by my office on his way home and gave me the $60 so I won $40 not playing poker

[x] rename thread to "making money while not playing" rather than winning, cuz YOU didnt win per se, but made money.

good thing though, staking an amateur and having it pay off 3:1. good job.

You are a losing player so every second you don't play you are actually maximizing your EV.

In highschool I went to a home game and one of the kids had to leave. He gave his chips to one of his friends, and a few people at the table exploded in disgust. They would not let his friends take over the chips so he had to either play or forfeit his chips/buyin. Talk about people taking a $10 buyin way to serious.
