I'm downloading now. Here's how I fixed it:

Open you hosts file (usually c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) in notepad and add these lines:

66.209.214.49 cardrunners.com
66.209.214.49 www.cardrunners.com

Save file, restart your browser and download the cts vid!

[/ QUOTE ]

could someone please explain this a little more, pretend you're explaining it to a 5 year old.

thanks.

[/ QUOTE ]

go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and in there, you find several files, one of them is called "hosts". open this file with notepad (right click on it and "open with" and then select notepad)

if the file is opened in notepad, you have to add those two lines at THE END of the file.
66.209.214.49 cardrunners.com
66.209.214.49 www.cardrunners.com

(don't do anything else, thats all, insert them exactly like that)

press "ctrl + s" (for saving the file).

close notepad

start firefox/internet explorer again

type "www.cardrunners.com" in the adress line and it should work.

this worked for me(firefox)

it's tilting me.

how the [censored] do i upgrade my account.

QFT.

Anyone found a route to upgrading if you got an account but haven't upgraded it before? I've been surfing the site for 30mins and can't figure it out. I only found the different membership levels when I logged out and pressed the sign-up link but that won't obviously help..

site is very very very slow though

[/ QUOTE ]

For some reason it won't let me save. I did the exact thing as above and keep getting an error.

"Cannot create the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file.

Make sure that the path and file name are correct."

[/ QUOTE ]

Does not work for me. I have the

66.209.214.49 cardrunners.com

saved in the file stated but still will not let me download even after re-booting the PC.

Very very slow. That's been my main complaint about CR from the beginning, and I hope this problem finally gets resolved soon.

[/ QUOTE ]

This was one of our top priorities. Our old site was very slow and we paid alot of money to make sure the new site is fast. The tech guys are working on the problem as we speak.

I've found a solution to play downloaded videos in WMP:

go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS (or whatever user you use) and rename the DRM folder (it's hidden so you need to enable it) to DRM.old, then create a new DRM folder (make sure to right click it and make it hidden) and try to play the video again.

Basically it renews all your DRM files and that worked for me.

Guys it won't let me download the videos, which is my preferred method of viewing them.

Also, I liked it when you put the 5 most recentley added videos and their authors on the home page.

-Nevermind, download works perfect with firefox. I'm an idiot
