i definitely thought joba shoulda pitched the 9th, just to give mariano a rest

he threw a LOT of pitches yesterday... it was like 2.5 innings of regular work for him. joba was pitching lights out and it wouldnt have hurt to have mariano get a rest - i said this BEFORE he blew it

now, they got very lucky with some jam shots to beat mariano (even though he eventually got the win). i dont think he was off tonight, just could have used some rest
