Default A different tipping question

I didn't see this covered in any posts that came up in search and I don't think it violates the sticky because it doesn't disclose specifics about the room, so here goes...

You are in an underground card room and the guy that runs the room sits in as a dealer for awhile to give the regular dealers a break or something. You win a small-to-medium size pot. Do you tip him?

I feel fine about tipping when I win a large pot, but for smaller pots, it seems like the $5 rake he is taking from the table should be sufficient. On the other hand, I feel awkward not tipping, and it doesn't hurt to tip for karma purposes.

Again, I always tip the dealers... just curious how you approach this when the room owner is dealing.

I don't see why you wouldn't tip the room owner for doing the same job you tip somebody else for doing.

Yes, or you may not be allowed to come back.

secret insider stuff: usually the "owner" is not the real owner; but thats not the issue. The owner is running a business, its insulting if you don't tip.
