Default Slightly drunk table cop implied I was dumb...

Casino 3/6 with all the perks...4 loose-passive opponents, 3 semi-loose passive opponents, 1 tight-passive opponent and 1 loose-aggressive table cop.

HERO: K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in MP3

2 limps, Hero limps, CO limps, Button limps, SB limps, BB(Slightly drunk table cop) raises , all call

FLOP: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (7 players/14 SB)

SB checks, Slightly Drunk Table Cop bets , UTG+2 calls, Hero calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds

TURN: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players/9.5 BB)

Slightly Drunk Table Cop bets , UTG+2 calls, Hero thinks and calls, CO folds, Button folds.

RIVER: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players / 12.5 BB)

Slightly Drunk Table Cop checks, UTG+2 bets, Hero raises, Slightly Drunk Table Cop folds and bitches, UTG+2 calls

FINAL POT: 16.5 BB

I didn't have much on the flop but with 16:1 immediate and little chance someone was going to raise behind me (based on the last 4 hours) I felt good. Any diamond, 6, 8, 4, K or 7 improves my hand into a good draw/potentially playable hand on the turn. Really I'm looking for a diamond or the 6 for the double-belly-buster.

Except for perhaps not raising the turn with 15 outs, anything wrong with this hand?

I don't get the flop play at all. You have less than 1 out. Even getting 16:1 on your call fold.

Marginal situation, but well played IMO. I think you can raise the turn here.

How do you figure less than one out. Sure, you can't count a K as 3 full outs but it has to be considered at least a possible out. The backdoor flush draw in itself is good for 1.5 to 2 outs. The backdoor straight draws could be another. So I'd estimate about 3.5 outs which is plenty here.

Christ, I think you did have the outs to call this flop. I don't have any problems with the way you played the hand given the nature of the table.

Your flop call kind of sucks.

Superb flop call. In most cases is +EV, in addition to the extreme hilarity factor when you hit runner-runner to scoop the monster pot.

Why is raising the turn good here? So far we have 2 other players in. 15 outs means you win 1 in 3 so it's not really a value bet unless you have other people that call. You don't want a free showdown because you have little/no showdown value. You have 2 people to act after you who are likely to call 1 bet in a large pot probably with some awful hands but are likely to fold to a raise. If you hit on the river it's likely that drunk cop will bet out again which gives you a great chance to raise with the caller inbetween. I just don't see a turn raise being good here. I realize that you didn't get overcallers on the turn and that drunk cop didn't bet the river, but that's looking at things from a results standpoint and I still stand by my statements of what I think will happen in general.

Congrats on winning the hand, but do yourself a favor; stop playing those suited trash hands. Long term, they are stack poison. Believe me, I lost tons of money chasing draws with those hands. I had to check into the Betty Ford "suited trash" wing to rid myself of that monkey, and I wasn't in there alone.
Instead of making your miracle 4 card str8, what do you do if a K hits? If you are up against a 2+2'er with a K, you are DOA, even if you are SOOOOted...
