Default Do I hedge??

I know very little about betting sports to start. I did however bet $50 on the tigers at the begining of the season when they were 100-1. Last 2 yrs Ive thrown a few bucks on the tigs at long odds at the start of the season just to make in interesting. At this pt Im looking at 5k if they win and I could really use the money with the online poker world in a bit of a mess. Is it smart to hedge this bet and if so how much can I guarantee myself and how?

putting $1724 on the cards at +190 on pinny would lock you in about $3275 either way. The only decision you need to make is how important that $3275 would be to you, if you really could use it then hedge, otherwise dont.

Im looking at WSEX right now(where I made the original bet) and the cards are at +200. I also see on WSEX that the cards are trading for 35 on the long term markets. Is there any advantage to taking this approach since I can dump them for some value still if the series starts to be very one sided. Even if I hold them its still +185. Is ther +15 in value to have the option to dump at some point?

you should probably take the +200, betting as close to $1683 as you can to lock in $5050 either way.

i don't think there will be much value in dumping the cards later given the four cent spread. you can always bet more on the tigers if the line becomes favorable.

you could also consider gamb00ling a little more and wait til after game 1 to hedge (the tigers have a pretty big advantage in that one,) you probably could lock in 3800-3900ish at that point, although if they lose it would probably drop it to 2400ish. Otherwise take the +200 and sleep well for the next week.

THX guys. One more Q. Looking at WSEX cashier, it looks like they cover the cost of an instacash transfer. Is this correct?
