10 NL - A9s flops overs and nfd.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
SB: $9.45 BB: $10.00 UTG: $14.45 MP: $14.00 Hero (CO): $10.50 BTN: $10.20 Preflop: Hero is dealt 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, BTN calls $0.35, SB calls $0.30, BB folds Flop: ($1.15) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB bets $1.00, Hero raises to $3.00, BTN calls $3.00, SB folds Turn: ($8.15) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero ??? Ok, so this guy was 9/5/2. I'm not sure where I'm at which is partially why I raised the flop. I guess his calling means he has a made hand or some good draw. I don't put him on an ace at this point, so I think that my ace could be clean, so I don't think my weak kicker matters should the ace come. Basically, I don't know what to do. Given his tightness I don't think a 5 is in his range other than 55. Part of me thinks set is the only possibilty. |

check if he checks to you, use appropriate odds to determine if you should call a turn bet.

I agree with bsball8806. The board is kind of scary; nevertheless, I don't know how to determine when Ace high is still best.

Yea I think you get shoved on too often if you bet this turn, and theres a chance you could get laid the right price, or at this stake, even a check from a made hand. I would've probly raised more on the flop and get it all in if necessary, this turn spot is very awkward. Def like the flop raise though.

Re: 10 NL - A9s flops overs and nfd.
Given SB's stats, I'm guessing sets and overpairs are a big part of his range (maybe worse flush draws too). I'd expect limited fold equity against those hands, though obviously you did get him to fold with your raise. I call flop figuring my implied odds are good and I want to make sure worse flush draws stick around.
Turn: Without a read, I figure Button for a good hand after his cold call on the flop. I don't think you fold him with a bet. I check/call a small bet, check/fold to a big bet. Edit: Didn't realize stats were for Button, not SB. But still, Button probably has a set or overpair, and SB likes his hand too, so I don't think you have the usual fold equity with your FD + overs. |

raise more on the flop for sure especially at this stakes. i think that fact u raised small is the reason u have a difficult turn decision

Ok, say I check, he checks behind, the river comes the 3 of hearts. What's your play then?
I guess only hands I beat at that point are over pairs, 55, and lower flush draws, so is this a check fold given his line? |

How big is your hand sample? 9/5/2 is an odd combination for 10NL.

Re: 10 NL - A9s flops overs and nfd.
I know, it is weird. It's like ~60 hands, so I guess it's a small sample, but enough for me to know that he is super tight, and doesn't like to fold the hands that he does play.
