Default AKo in the BB $0.50/$1

Should I check raise this flop? Any other comments welcome.
I think I like playing with one of these players at the table. I think I should start seeking out tables where this person is playing and play with them more often.

against this guy and the other guy i think you can cap pre flop ..

on the flop check or donk - don't think it makes a big difference ... check raise gets more bets in the pot, whereas a donk may let UTG raise to force the other guy's hand

i can't see folding anywhere, heads up, in this hand

I would indeed check-raise the flop and then see what he does. If he 3-bets, I’m calling the hand down from there on (unless a K falls, then I’m taking another shot).
If he, after that check-raise, decides to call us down, I’m firing every barrel…

The way the hand was played, it looks very much like a slowplayed monster. So try the flop check-raise, the hand plays differently from then on.

What was your reasoning for the flop donk?

I like a flop check-raise. The rest of the hand is fine.

I don't think check raising the flop is too bad of a line. Really though this is played fine all the way through IMO.

If the lead bet on the flop was with the intention of 3-betting, I like it. Otherwise I like a check/raise attempt.

The rest of your postflop line is standard against a normal/unknown opponent. Against this one I'd want to get at least 1 more raise in on the big streets.

To the rest of you lunkheads, UTG+1 capped preflop. This precludes Hero from taking that action.

This doesn't make sense to me. If we're currently behind, the only reasonable hand the king puts us ahead of is AJ (before the river.) We'd still be behind AA, JJ, 99. We're ahead of AQ already. tied with AK obviously.

I guess what I'm saying is that a K dropping doesn't make our hand that much stronger. If we think it strong enough to raise when the K falls maybe its already strong enough.
