I personally read non fiction. I like books that increase my financial aptitude. If you can find anything on real estate, or other type of investing, It is more +EV than fiction (imo).

Rich Dad Poor Dad (Kiyosaki) for starters.

a game of thrones by George R.R. Martin. it's a great book, it's read really well by Roy Dotrice, and it's long, so it's a good value (it's one credit off of audible.)

If you don't like that type of fiction, i'd also recommend Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenence, although it's not as good a value.

Thanks , I have a subscription so it only costs me a flat price credit. I subscribe to the wall street journal which I listen to every day on my commute to work -- truly great. I'm thinking about gettign Sun Tszu's art of war in the hopes that it improves my poker game.

The HP Lovecraft stuff is good. Horror is good for this kind of thing, because a good narration adds so much. Non-fiction I'd just as soon read.

I'm probably going to get one of those books written by the guy who wrote the series that the movie Master and Commander was taken from. Really atmospheric stuff like this is what rocks the most for being heard. Plus, everybody says these books are really great, and the audible reviewers give them good marks too.

They have a lot of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. Very good satire, like Douglas Adams except fantasy instead of science-fiction. Laugh out loud funny, which may or may not be a problem.

I just started reading Good Omens. I'm about 50 pages in and think I've laughed out loud 25 - 30 times.
