Well maybe it's true because it's hard to assess how much fold equity you have, if any , against this opponent .Like you said , much of it depends on your opponent's reaction to your shove .

If you had slightly more chips , then I would definitely say the shove is better because your fold equity makes up for it .

I think the best line would have been to fold j-4 because you're likely to pick up two better hands on your next deal . So if the play would work with j-4 , then it should also work on your next hand too !

Your preflop play in this hand is bad imo. at 75/150 u can occasionally limp if the player is a weak-tight pussy but for the most part it's shove or fold and definitely not miniraise with junky hands. a lot of good players will shove on you preflop here with a wide range.

I agree with this point and I think this is the biggest reason villain's play is a leak.
