It seems like everytime I get shortstacked I'll pick up a hand like AQ, AJ, or 99 and someone will limp ahead. I push only to find that the guy has AA. Was this a bad push?

You'd definitely like to take the pot down right here. You're in push/fold mode so a smaller raise is out of the question.

I did an cEV calculation and I get +1307.5 so this is a good push.

I figured that he limps with top 20%, but calls a push with top 10%.

MP2 folds 50%, we win 800+400+675+800 = 2675.
50% * 2675 = 1337.5

MP2 calls 50% of the time with 10%:

44% he calls we win 2675 + 6575 = 9250
44% * 50% = 22% * 9250 = 2035

56% he calls we lose 7375
56% * 50% = 28% * 7375 = 2065

1337.5 + 2035 - 2065 = +1307.5

(PLEASE CHECK MY MATH)

super standard push. Guys will limp with Ax, small pairs, suited connectors, etc.

You are being results oriented.

QFT. Players love limping with weak aces and small pairs. It's rare that you'll see a slowplayed big pair.
