5-10 HU - another common spot
Your playing an aggressive opponent that plays about 25-30% of his hands OOP and seems to check raise fairly light against your cbets...
100bb stacks Hero raises to 30 preflop with 77dh - Villain calls 20 Flop 4c6cTx - he checks - now I don't see any right option, my hand is probably best most of the time here but if I cbet to 50 I see him check raising to 165 with a wide range that includes mostly semi bluffs, strong Tens, OESDs, air, and flush draws and there's too many turns I don't wanna see to just call because of the range stated above. And 3bet/shoving seems ridiculous since him check raising and me stacking off with middle pair makes it profitable for him to check/raise any ten there and get it in - and if I called I'm usualy either slightly ahead or way behind. Now if I call the flop I feel like I induce alot of 2 barrels and again the board gets ugly quick. Thoughts on how to play these situations? J |

Re: 5-10 HU - another common spot
definitely bet flop
mix a 3bet shove in there, cant say for sure what freq also, most villains arent good enough to rep whatever turn card comes even if their draw doesnt hit so you can c/c and c/f sometimes, or c/c and c/c again depending on the card and the villain's intelligence and bet size, timing, etc but checking this flop as a default is too nitty for sure |
