Talked about this with ryanghall and if we are calling a shove on underard flop why are we not shoving over him preflop ... you said against some people you would reshove pf, why not this player? And who do you do it against? regs? lags? Also i would have made it 600 pf

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't shove pre because I was guessing his range was something like TT+, AQ+ and I guess I thought my shove would allow him to basically play perfectly. Also, if I'm behind (against hands like QQ and KK) I give myself an opportunity to not go broke since there could be an action-killing flop like an ace or king high board. And I think flat-calling allows him to continue making a play at me if in fact that's what he's doing.

It would be stupid IMO to say that I'd reshove pf against "regs" because there are good regs, bad regs, loose regs, tight regs, etc. I would reshove against people I know to be loose, overly aggro, or just bad overall players.

Why make it 475? Especially with antes? I'd reshove preflop anyways.

How did he get his chips? Has he been minraising/betting a lot?

I didn't have much of a read in-game. He had min raised once, but other than that he really wasn't splashing around much. He doubled me up earlier in the tourny when I shoved with bb150 for about 1400 and he reshoved with AJ. He got a lot of chips in one big uncontested pot, and then another pot where he open limped, called a raise with KQ and stacked someone when he flopped top pair.
