Default Rugby: Super 14 Final

Sharks are +100 at SIA. Ridiculous odds for a team that should be -150. They are at home, beat the Bulls at home 17-3 earlier in the year and have no injuries to key players. The Bulls, while improved away from home this year, are nowhere near as good away from Loftus and still failed to score a try last week. I think the Bulls are overrated based on their form in the past 2 weeks: a 92-3 win at home against a team that had given up before the game started and a home semi-final win over a team that had lost its previous 2 games to teams that didn't make the playoffs.

Can't stress that enough. Agree with the rest too.

Slick,

Unfortunately Fox Sports World rebranded to Fox Soccer Channel a couple years back and cut out almost all of their rugby coverage. The game can be seen on Setanta, a channel you have to pay $15/month for and has sports like rugby, Aussie rules, soccer and Gaelic football or you can watch it online for $5 at http://www.mediazone.com/channel/rug...006/index.jsp. Many sports bars have Setanta also, so that is another option.

As a side note, the TV situation for rugby in this country really pisses me off. When I started playing and watching 6 years ago, there was plenty of it on Fox Sports World and that's a big part of how I got so hooked on the sport. If the situation back then was how it is today, I would be nowhere near as interested in this sport. For such a small, albeit growing, sport in the US, rugby absolutely needs all the exposure it can get and that means not being on PPV.

Oh and the game will be on Saturday, probably at 9 am Eastern.

Yeah, the TV situation for rugby in the US sucks hardcore. I'm probably gonna end up missing out on this one. I guess I'll have to get my rugby fix during the World Cup.

More ridiculous odds:

Sharks +3.5 (-120) at SIA. Almost every other site has Sharks +2 or +1.5.

Wow, that was a sick comeback. The sharks dominated that whole game and then choked at the end. Great game though.

Gross suckout. Followed the live updates, seemed like a hell of a game, unlike this dire fa cup final. At least you got the win on the spread.

Was a decent game and I'm glad I took the spread also but that was sickening to lose the ML like that. Great individual play by Habana to win it though. Plenty of money to be won betting the Tri Nations and World Cup.
