Default Need lights/bulb above my back license plate - how much

Apparently the used car I got from NY has no lights or bulb above the license plate. How much am I going to have to pay to get one installed with labor? This doesn't seem like a major deal, but I doubt I can configure anything electrical if need be.

Nothing electric would be needed, if you nice and go to a dealership they should do it for free if you get an oil change. Should be a very simple replacement. What car and year is it and I might know exactly what you need.

for some reason im under the impression the OP is saying there is no light fixture or wiring or anything at the license plate?

if the OP really just needs a bulb, its gonna be <$1.00

what happened to the original wiring ? is is cut off near the plate, or is it totally gone?
inspect the area inside (from the trunk area) and out and give us an update.
