Oh I raised here preflop because I lost set over set at another table ten seconds earlier, and when that happens I subconsciously become more aggressive preflop for a few minutes afterwards on my other tables. |

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
After his minraise I put him on KsQs, AsKs or a middlepair just finding out were he is at and looking for an easy fold. With two pair (86), AK, AA, QQ or a set he would have raised more because of the flushdraw. By the way I see a lot of this sort of minraises lately on somewhat lower stakes with very big hands. You line on the flop is fine, we don't want a middlepair to fold. Turnbet from the Button is weak some sort of blocking bet it looks like, raise is about fine. After the reraise he says he doesn't have middlepair anymore and unless the unlikely case of rebluffing someone who he thinks he is bluffing you are probably drawing to one out. I think this are the places were some players could find a fold... When you have time to analyse it that is said... I would probably play it the same and say Yes I should have known afterwards...

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
I would not play this UTG, it's so hard to play draw hands OOP. As played, I would lead out on the Turn and if gets raised, I say [censored] and call.

[/ QUOTE ] ya I usually fold this UTG but I looked away and then looked back and realized that during the brief time I was seeing red (after previous cooler) I had raised this one, and the flop was favorable so... other thoughts, anyone? |

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
Preflop is something that is OK only if done rarely.
Flop I 3bet pot sized and I don't mind getting it in on the flop. Turn is fine; if he has a higher flush well such is poker. |

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
Guys I really want to ask a question, this villain is unknown. Shouldn't we assume he is some sort of a decent player then? Would he really minraise that less on the river with a set or two pair or something like 97 or a suited ace? What does a minraise mean is this kind of situations? I would say a monster or middlepair.

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
Firstly, you can't assume an unknown is a good player, ESPECIALLY at 25NL. I really don't see any other way to play this hand(other than the obv fold preflop line, but i really don't mind raising these every once in awhile to disguise your UTG opening range and mix it up a bit). There is no way folding here once the turn hits can be correct, if he had the higher flush draw then so be it. Also, looking at the bet sizing by villian i can def. tell you he isn't a good player.

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
Hmmm you could also say that because he is a bad player he is giving you good information, a good player with AKs or KQs would probably raised more on the flop, to disguise his monster.

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
Do you guys think it is better for him to check the turn here or to bet? Isnt check raising giving away the hand here?

Re: 25nl T9s I make a frush
Preflop: I just would fold T9s UTG
Flop: As played: OK Turn: Lead out with a potsized Bet and see what villian does I see you way ahead in this hand. Results? |
