tournament leght

Hi guys.

I always have a problem with free time for tourmant play, so I was wondering if you manage to estimate how long is a tournament going to last , taking into account the structure and no. of players.
Is there a formula?

If you are talking about online, I would suggest looking at the day/week before when that same tournament ran and see how long it took...
