I just got back home, and had to see the trip report.

That was truly an amazing run. When we made the money, I had like 40k which was almost average, and you had maybe 25k. Next thing I know, the dealer is like "BB is all-in blind." Is that Slim he's talking about??? I really needed to buy 50% of your action at this point. Of course, 4 hands later you have more chips than me.

At the next blind increase, nobody at our table had more than 15xBB. It was then a turbo SnG, and I liked your chances (after I busted, that is). Well done.

I've been back in the SF Bay Area since last July, slipping quietly into married life. Every few weeks I go back to Las Vegas, mostly for nuclear lab work stuff, but I manage to get in a few nights of poker while I'm there.

I loved reading this TR and congrats on the cash.

So, just out of curiosity, what could the TD do about "explicit softplay"? If you'd complained, would he stand there and force the others to raise each other? I've never seen anybody take action against this.

The TD could have given them a penalty away from the table. With the blinds and antes fairly high at a shorthanded table, it would be a substantial hit to their stacks.
