Default Lost debit card

so i accidentally left my debit card in the atm yesterday- yeah really stupid thing to do. i reported it stolen/lost or whatever. if someone used the card between then and now when they stopped activity on the card, would i be able to get the money back or am i screwed? anybody have any experience dealing with this sort of thing?

Usually a max $50 loss with the rest being refunded to your account.

They prolly couldnt w\d money from the ATM but obv. could try to use it at a gas station etc..

ATMs suck the card back into their vault after about 15-20 seconds if you don't pull it out, so you likely have nothing to worry about.

it happened to me once . i got drunk and lost card or got it stolen not sure. when i woke up the next day i had 2100 taken from my acct and i called bank right away. it took about 45 days and they did a small investigation. i was eventually reimbursed through my bank. i was with washinton mutual at the time. gl

yeah, this is through National City, so i dunno how their policy works. but thanks for the luck

i called them and all she told me is it depends on the circumstances and what they find in their investigation - whatever that means

How did they withdraw money without your pin? Also can't you check your card activity online to see if it was used or not?

i dont know if they have used it yet, the lady i talked to said her last activity for the card she can see is like 11 days ago even tho i've definately used it myself since then - and for some reason, they're online services arent working for me
