Any thoughts on the river? Am I pot committed by the end? Would check/calling be a better line?</font>

i think you played it fine as long as you fold on the end.

checking on the end induces a whole lotta bluffs that you cant stand up to.

Should we just check because no worse hands call? i think a check induces a bluff we cant call. I like to just bet out and hope he folds.

We give him the possibility to bet 4$ as a bluff and go to showdown. If he bets the pot on the river we fold anyway.

any bet made on that river isnt a value bet - its just a bet to stop someone who appears to drawing with a high spade from repping that if they dont have it.

most unl players wont bluff raise rivers and a smallish bet like this prevents us being pushed off our hand by a whole load of villains who would get aggro on this river once the 4th spade hits.
