I was expecting an interesting topic on the subject of universal suffrage and the implications of democracy. I was wrong. Doesn;t this belong somewhere else?

Theres a pretty big correlation between the expansion of socialism in this country and women being given the right to vote. I find it no surprise.

I'd personally disagree with you on that point. I think socialist movements were burgeoning well before women had the right to vote.

They may have been burgeoning, but they didn't have the support until women and their feelings made it to the voting booth.
