Default middle pair raise

probably a pretty boring hand.

live 1/2 game. folded to me on the button and i raise 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. an okay player 3-bets in the sb and a loose-aggressive bb calls and i call closing the action. 3 ways for 9 small bets.

flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

sb checks. bb momentarily reaches for his chips but checks. i bet. sb checkraises, bb now makes it three and i pause in thought and then call the two bets cold. sb calls. still 3 ways on the turn, 9 big bets.

turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb checks. bb bets. i raise.

no other way to play.

Totally read dependent. If the following three conditions hold:

a. BB will c/rr the flop with a flush draw;
b. BB will c-bet the turn after missing; and
c. SB will lay down a queen or a better 9 to your turn raise

then I love it. But I think the other 98% of the time I fold to the flop c/rr.

Gosh I really kinda like it.

SB can easily muck TT/JJ/AK here and I'm not positive but I think BB has a draw more often than a monster here. It really helps is you know BB won't semibluff 3-bet too.

(ps I'm a known spewer so take that with a grain of salt)

Wow. Somehow you managed to squeeze the best hand out of the pot, isolate the draw, and now if he bricks off the river, you take down a very nice size pot with a marginal holding.

I am not worthy, etc.
